Tasting Note

This is a rich and decadent Armagnac with lots of dried fruit and warm spice. You’ll find golden raisin and fig alongside orange peel and fresh wood shavings on the nose. There’s a softness to the palate with more fig and raisin as well as apricot dizzled in caramel and maple. There’s a long finish too making a superb warming winter sipper.

It’s made using 60% Ugni Blanc and 40% Baco grapes and blended from10 different barrels. Bottled in 2019.

Producer Info

Run by Colette and Guy Vignoli, Domaine Laguille has been distilling since 1986 and focused their efforts entirely on Armagnac in 1990 using grapes from the vineyards surrounding their estate. They now have 65 hectares of vineyards and offer a range of wine alongside their spirits.

They ferment in stainless steel and mature the distilled eau de vie in Gascogne black oak barrels.
